New Release
A Good Wife
Book Launch
Join me at Books on the Square on June 29, 2018,
from 7 - 8:30pm to hear a reading from my new book, A Good Wife.
Evelyn Alden has built a quiet life of simple pleasures on a tiny island frozen in time, her family, the center of her universe. Her husband’s sudden, tragic death leaves Eve and their children heartbroken and adrift. Mourning the loss of the life she once knew, Eve soon embarks on a journey of discovery, facing demons from her past, haunted but resolute. Along this new path, Eve realizes she is stronger than she believed... more than ‘a good wife.’ A story of heartache and joy, faith and renewal, each day a reminder that life is fleeting but love lives on.
About the Author
Jayne Conway is the author of four books: What if I Fly?, As it Seems, Say Something and A Good Wife. A graduate of SUNY: FIT in New York City with a BS in Marketing, she earned a master's degree in Urban Education from Providence College and teaches high school history on Block Island (the polar opposite of an urban environment).
On the little island she calls home, Jayne enjoys photography, reading, baking, hiking, dinner with friends, watching romcoms and musicals with her teenage daughters, listening to history, true crime and political podcasts and hunting for sea glass.
In another life, the self-proclaimed political junkie would have lived in DC and visits her favorite American city often. Some Washington highlights include attending Trump’s first impeachment trial, Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s Senate confirmation hearings, meeting Representative John Lewis (hero) after watching him deliver a speech, and marching down Pennsylvania Avenue (many many times) to make “good trouble” by exercising her First Amendment rights.
One day in the not too distant future, Jayne hopes to retire in the magical land of her ancestors; Italy. Her three children approve and intend to visit often. Only time will tell.
